They didn't find anything between them Because they were filled with suspicion Of being incapable of someone They didn't really know.
They were afraid to open up For fear of being hurt So they kept their distance And never let their guard down.
They were afraid to let go And give themselves completely So they held back And never truly connected.
And so they missed out On the possibility of love Because they were too afraid To take a chance.
But maybe one day They'll learn to let go of their fears And open up their hearts To the possibility of love.
Until then, they'll remain Separated by their suspicion And never know what could have been.
